For the sum of __________________________

1)    The Buyer agrees to provide a life-long commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and responsible care. This includes keeping this puppy/dog parasite free and up to date with inoculations, proper nutrition, which consists of a good quality professional feed given at regular intervals, and fresh water available at all times. The Buyer promises to provide a safe environment for the dog, and never allow the dog to roam freely without proper fencing or supervision. The Seller strongly recommends that the puppy/dog be micro chipped or tattooed in order to facilitate his/her return if lost or stolen.

2)    The Seller provides a (1) year health guarantee for life-threatening health issues (valid until the puppy’s FIRST birthday) and guarantees this puppy/dog to be of sound health and temperament at the time of this sale. A health record of all shots and de-worming will be provided by the Seller.  The Buyer agrees to take this dog to a licensed veterinarian of his/her choice within (1) week or (7) days from the date of sale for a physical examination.  Should the puppy be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Seller, the dog may, upon signed written diagnosis from said veterinarian, be returned for a refund of the purchase price or replacement at the Buyer’s discretion. Failure to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within the designated time and/or if the Buyer fails to provide required immunizations and medical treatment this health guarantee will be void. The Seller will assume no responsibility if this puppy/dog is given Ivermectin, Imodium or any other drug and the puppy/dog suffers an adverse reaction.

3)The Seller provides a limited genetic guarantee for hereditary defects. A signed written diagnosis of any hereditary defect must be provided by the Buyer from a licensed veterinarian. In the event that a hereditary defect is discovered the Seller will provide the Buyer with the option for a replacement puppy. Refunds will not be issued for hereditary defects. If after the Buyer discovers a hereditary defect the owner wishes to retain the puppy/dog, the owner then waives the right to a replacement puppy unless otherwise agreed upon in writing from the Seller. Shipping charges on any replacement puppy is the responsibility of the Buyer. If the puppy is found to have a life threatening/hereditary defect that requires the puppy to be euthanized, documentation from the Buyer’s veterinarian must be provided to the Seller and must show a serious untreatable medical issue to warrant euthanization.

4)     If at any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of this dog, the Seller is to be notified and given first option of resuming
full ownership of dog in order for the Seller to locate this dog a new home.  Refunds, if any, will be at the discretion of the Breeder/ Seller. The dog will be returned with all AKC papers and medical records. Should any circumstances arise that affect the quality of life of this dog, the breeder/seller is to be informed so that they may participate in determining the future of the dog.  The Breeder/ Seller reserves the right to approve/prohibit any transfer of this animal to a third party. Under no circumstances will this dog be sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.

5)     The Buyer agrees to contact the Seller immediately if any questions or concerns arise about the dog, such as housing, diet, health
or training. The buyer agrees to keep the seller informed of any treatment as it occurs. This provides the Breeder/Seller with an opportunity to follow up on puppies and gives us important feedback and information on the health or our dogs for future generations.

6)    This dog is being transferred with limited AKC/ACA registration rights; the seller does not authorize the Buyers to use this animal for breeding and recommends the Buyer have it spayed/neutered at the age recommended by their veterinarian (usually 6 months to 1 year of age).  Registration papers will either be given with the puppy or transferred to the Buyer immediately upon receipt from the AKC/ACA if they are still being processed.  It is understood at the time of sale that this is a pet quality dog and it is representative of its breed. It is structurally and temperamentally suited as a companion and/or obedience dog. Training classes are recommended for a happy relationship between the dog and family.

The preceding paragraphs contain conditions established to ensure the well being of the dog, but also to uphold and maintain the reputation of quality that J & S Siberian Huskies has established over many years. The Buyer’s agreement will continue for the dog’s life and the Seller will have the right to enforce the agreements.
